Bing, known previously as Live Search, Windows Live Search, and MSN Search, is a web search engine (advertised as a “decision engine”) from Microsoft.

Bing was unveiled by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer in May, 2009, at the All Things Digital conference in San Diego, California, for release in that same year. As of February 2015, it is the second largest search engine in the US with a query volume at 19.8%, while Yahoo Search, which Bing powers, has 12.8%, while its competitor Google is at 64.5%

MSN.com is a web portal and related collection of Internet services and apps for Windows and mobile devices, provided by Microsoft and launched on August 1995. It is the default home page of Internet Explorer, its original web browser.
